Okay I always forget about how much I love moodboards until I start doing them. I wish I had more branding projects in my life so I could just do moodboards all the time. This is what I've done to put off my boring homework a little bit further.
Anyway - for my capstone project I'm lucky enough to be working on some great clients. I will be working on a healthy lifestyle reference book and cookbook with my two graphic design roommates - it's going to be awesome. But I am also so excited to be branding Jackson Stables.
Jackson Stables is a venue in town that makes me feel like I'm not in Kirksville, Missouri any longer - which sometimes is needed. Jackson Stables is a stable-like building covered in oak beams which give it that rustic vibe that many venues in Kirksville lack (which is okay - it's a small town, can't have everything.) There's a long winding white fence that leads up to the stable, and yes, there are horses there sometimes, it's awesome.
The fact that Jackson Stables is not just a stable, but a wine vendor as well has made it a great place for weddings, wine nights, dinner shows, and more.
This moodboard was so fun, but a total challenge. I think the colors have been a challenge for me so far, but creating the moodboard totally helped as I've been pulling images into a nice little folder on Pinterest for awhile. So here she is - I'm excited to share some small bits and pieces along the way. This has been and is going to be a great project to work on these next couple of months.
